- Free Grace names the gift; Justification names the verdict; assurance names where I rest when doubt hits.
- Primary ground is God's promise - fruit may back up a claim; it never grounds belonging, or tomorrow's fall would erase today's “proof.”
- Bad weeks, hidden sin, dread at the Judgment Seat - none of those re-open the case Justification closed.
- Loss of Reward keeps reward-loss separate; Standing vs Fellowship keeps closeness separate from standing; Childlike Faith receives the promise without re-negotiating merit every Monday.
Level 1 - Recognize
Assurance is resting on Christ's promise of eternal life - not on this week's performance scorecard.
Level 2 - Explain
Like trusting you are still loved after a bad report card - rest on the word, not the week's tally.
Level 3 - Use
When dread hits on Monday, return to the promise you believed at faith - bad weeks do not re-open Justification.
Level 4 - Connect
Assurance separates standing from fellowship and salvation from reward - fruit may back up; it never grounds belonging.
Level 5 - Create
Write a doubt response that returns to Christ's promise, names any broken fellowship honestly, and chooses the next faithful step without reopening salvation.
