Build a Reliable Default

Evergreen Created Jun 22, 2026 · Updated Jun 22, 2026

Build a reliable default = when time, information, confidence, or energy runs short, you fall back on what's most practiced.

Make that fallback a simple, dependable response — rehearsed enough to run when thinking is thin.

Example

Firefighters don't invent steps mid-alarm — they run the drill they practiced. Our family fire plan is one page on the fridge: two exits, where we meet, who grabs the baby. Last blackout, my kid ran it half-asleep and nobody guessed.
