Emotional Regulation
Table of Contents
Emotional regulation = you can feel anger, fear, or shame without handing the steering wheel to the feeling.
Example
You can be furious at a driver who cut you off and still not chase them — feel it, don't steer with it. My kid's homework meltdown made my face hot; I took a kitchen walk before I answered. Regulation isn't numbness; it's not mailing the first draft.
