Glorify Your Name

Facing the cross, Jesus asked the Father to glorify His name and the Father answered from heaven.

• Not My Will repeats the same surrender in Gethsemane; here the glory of the Father's name is the point before the arrest.
• Under Free Grace, the cross is where the Father's name shines - not where I bargain my way out of cost.

Level 1 - Recognize

Glorify your name means asking the Father to look honored through hard obedience - not asking to skip the cup.

Level 2 - Explain

Like a runner who wants the coach honored at the finish line - not an exit ramp before the race ends.

Level 3 - Use

When the costly hour arrives, pray that God is honored through your obedience - not that you can skip the cup.

Level 4 - Connect

When comfort and glory pull opposite ways, glorifying the Father's name outweighs escape - obedience shows His glory.

Level 5 - Create

Write a prayer for a costly choice that asks the Father to be honored through your obedience. Name the comfort you are willing to release.

Examples

• I wanted the hard talk gone and prayed for an easy out - glad Jesus prayed the Father's name would be glorified when the hour came.
• Promotion meant more visibility and more criticism; my instinct was self-protection - His prayer aimed glory at the Father, not comfort for Himself.
