Not My Will

In Gethsemane Jesus prayed Abba, Father - then yielded His will to the Father.

• Jesus brought the dread out loud before He handed over the outcome - the honest ask and the yes came in one prayer.

Level 1 - Recognize

Not my will means asking God to remove the cup, then yielding to the Father's will - honest request before surrender.

Level 2 - Explain

Like telling a parent you are scared and still doing what is right - the dread comes out loud before the yes.

Level 3 - Use

When the diagnosis will not change, pray the honest ask first, then release the outcome you cannot control.

Level 4 - Connect

Because surrender without honesty is performance, bring real dread to God before you release the result.

Level 5 - Create

Write an honest surrender prayer: name the cup, ask plainly, yield through Free Grace. Choose the next step that will Glorify Your Name.

• I wanted the diagnosis to be wrong and prayed for a different outcome - glad Gethsemane taught me faith stops bargaining and starts surrender.
• Leading a team meant a conversation that could cost me friends - I delayed a week; Jesus prayed three times the same yes before the arrest.
