Priorities Before the Inbox

Evergreen Created Jun 21, 2026 · Updated Jun 21, 2026

Priorities before the inbox = put the real priority first before email, Slack, and everyone else's urgency rewrite my morning.

The inbox is other people's priorities wearing a siren. One block on the actual deliverable - spec, hard conversation, deep work - before I answer pings. Gospel source: Seek the Kingdom First. PKM parallel: Signal vs Noise.

Example

Tuesday at 7am my Slack was on fire and the quarterly doc was still blank. Priorities before the inbox means forty minutes on the doc first - then I answer pings from a place that already moved the needle.

I almost deleted Facebook a couple of years ago. Then I stumbled onto a built-in feature most people don't know exists - and it's the only reason I still open the app.
