Take Up Your Cross

Evergreen Created Jun 20, 2026 · Updated Jun 20, 2026

Take up your cross = deny yourself, pick up the cross daily, and follow Jesus - the shape of discipleship after you come to him (Luke 9:23; Matthew 16:24).

The cross isn't suffering for suffering's sake; it's choosing God's will over self-will each day. Free Grace keeps the order: eternal life is received by faith, not earned by cross-bearing - but following Christ costs something real. Same road as The Narrow Way, lived one day at a time. Overlap with Process Over Outcomes: daily self-denial beats a one-time hero sprint.

Extends Free Grace. Contradicts There Is No Perfect Solution when I expect discipleship without cost.
